Canyon Meadows has a healthy and vibrant neighborhood spirit, with local pride and commitment, accessible amenities and a concern for the environment in our own community and the City of Calgary.

The following is what happened at the October, and November
meetings. Okay, here we go. The last meetings we discussed
the following:
• Memberships is presently at 214.
• We received a report on our new website (www.cmca.ca)
and its potential uses for the community.
• We received our monthly Bingo reports and financial
contributions that it brought to the community.
• We discussed traffic issues at 6Street and Canterbury
Drive with regards to a pedestrian cross walk.
• A quote is being worked on for upgrading the security
cameras (that will be able to spot an Ant at 400M). All
right, I added the ant comment, but the cameras will be
much improved over the existing equipment.
• We were told by all who attended that the trip to the
Saskatoon Farm Senior’s trip was a great success.
• The pub night was cancelled due to sign rental / newsletter
hiccup.
• New doors were installed on the rink storage room.
• The rink room is ready for the skating season. The new
hockey nets are about to be replaced (once I find the time
to do it).
• We passed motions to make donations to four families
in need at each of our schools in Canyon Meadows, and
donations to the Alzheimer Society, and Alberta Guide
Dogs training.
• We passed motions on other general items such as the
Tour of Lights, Xmas party, and promotional items.
• We discussed the possibility of having long speed bumps
installed at Playground zones, and the potential for solar
speed indicating signs.
